This is the place to goto in the Williamsburg area if you are craving seafood and awesome service. This Captain George's location has been here since I was a young kid back in the it's. Back then they had their ups and downs and the food and service was a hit or miss - it has come a long way and we'll worth the visit! Our server just happened to be the guy in the Instgram video "if your being chased by someone and they offered you a plate of Captain George's crab legs, then you'd turn around". I can't remember his name but he was on-top of his game!. He kept the drinks refilled, the crab-bucket empty and plates picked up, great service! Now the food, boy was on the same level! The service kept the crab legs container, the Cajun crab legs, crawfish, fried oysters, fried scallops, fried and steamed shrimp filled and fresh! This is one of those restaurants that you have a great experience and will want to visit again. We'll definitely be back!

The food was good! If your thinking it's going to be a bad Buffett or Buffett food, your wrong! It's actually a really nice restaurant and have a wide variety! Even if you don't like seafood, they have regular food too! The desert wasn't my favorite but still good! I would recommend ! They were very fast and had our drinks as soon as we got there!

If you like all you can eat snow crab legs, This Is The Place!! You can eat them to your hearts content, and if you have any room left, there's tons of other things on the buffet as well. It's very clear the crab legs are the star of the show here, tho. They were delicious! All the staff we encountered were wonderful, and our server, Andrew, was excellent. He kept our plates cleared and our drinks filled along with answering any questions we had. He really was delightful! The atmosphere is very nice, as is the decor. It's quite a large restaurant inside and there's plenty of parking. I hear it's understandably very busy in peak season. We arrived shortly after they opened, plus it was the day before NY's eve so it was steady, but not crazy busy. It was very much worth the drive and we hope to return again.

What an amazing dining experience! Our entire family loves seafood, so this was a "must do" for us while in Williamsburg. Lots of crab legs, fish, and seafood items. The fried oysters were delicious and the crab legs and crawfish were tasty. There are plenty of items at the salad bar and for those who would rather not eat seafood as well. Doug was an EXCEPTIONAL host who interacted very well with customers and was very attentive to the needs of every diner. The food was excellent and the restaurant was beautifully decorated for the holidays. What a great experience during our visit! If you like seafood you're going to love it here!

Oldie n goodie! Was back in the 757 so had to stop by. Everything was as good as I remembered it to be over 10 years ago. The food was fresh and the waitress was also helpful. Outside of that the ambiance was still homily. It wasn't busy which I appreciated and if you've never been and you're in the 757, stop by.

We had a great time at Captain George's today! We had a party of six and we were seated within five minutes (they do a 15% gratuity for parties of six or more). There were three different buffet tables filled with desserts , seafood, salad, and some "traditional" foods - ribs, meatloaf, fried chicken. Our waitress was really friendly and checked on us multiple times throughout. She brought new drinks before we even needed them - thank you! All in, we spent about $60 a person. That seemed a bit high for the area, but if you plan to eat your weight in crab legs, you probably could get your money's worth.

The Service is always amazing, best way to describe the experience is if you combine Cruise Ship waitstaff with an all you can eat buffet. The food is delicious and always hot and fresh. The main reason I go here is for the crab legs, and the are a 9/10 (only reason it's not 10/10, is the legs are thinner then other restaurants), plus there is a whole bar for non-seafood eaters. But I don't know how that food is. When I go here, seafood is my only thought. Overall, any Captain George's I highly recommend!

Wow! Every time I come to a Captain George's I am never disappointed. We went to the one in Virginia beach last year and my fiancé loved it so much we wanted to come back for his birthday this past weekend. An to our surprise there was one a little closer in Williamsburg. Once we arrived on Sunday there was a life all the way down the sidewalk. If you see this DONT PANIC its just because the doors are not open yet but trust me there is enough room and food to go around. Plus they move the line quickly with large parties being in a different line. I totally forgot out waiters name (light skinned young black guy with either dreads or braids)! But man he needs a raise! He was smiling and friendly always coming to check on us just a pleasure to have a round. They have a large selection of baked and fried seafoods and for those who don't like or are allergic to it they have items like fried chicken, turkey, sausage, ham, salad, etc. They also have some great sides like corn, mashed potatoes, broccoli, etc. Some of the food they offer is a little different between locations like the one in VA Beach has steak, pizza, etc. However, it is a free for all when it comes to the crabs and there was an adult take away crabs from her last year. So, the fact that the Williamsburg locations has an attendee there passing out the crab legs and only letting you get so much at a time cuts down on any arguments or attitudes and ensures there is a constant flow. I highly recommend the baked clams, fried oysters, and crab legs! Did i mention they have a dessert bar also? They have everything from bread and banana pudding to fruits, jello, apple cobbler, cheesecake, carrot cake, chocolate, and white cake but my personal favorites are the flan and baklava!
